Street View images of Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio appeared on Google Maps and the US Department of Defense is worried that photographs could endanger U.S. military bases.

Google spokesman Larry Yu commented:

"We try to be very explicit with the drivers that they are to stay on public roads and not ask for entry to private areas, but maybe there is some ambiguity in their mind."

Do you think such photographs could really cause danger?

Definitely.

Mapping like this could easily be used by terrorists, although the chance of it is small, its still real.

I agree it shouldnt be allowed these are classified areas so they have every right to keep them off google maps.
