How do you get the seat off a 1987 honda interceptor?

I know that is a stupid question but im new to sport bikes so give a break ha hai just got this bike about 3 days ago and the battery has gone dead and i need to get the seat off to take it out and it will not budge,on my honda 4 wheeler there is lever but it is much more newer than the bike. On the interceptor seat there is 2 screws than have be taken out of the sides i did that and continued to pull and tug on it to no avail. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks
