As someone from England I find Obama's comments about the oil spill have been sounding increasingly anti British. I know BP is a British company but his approach has been very aggressive. I mean who gave them the licence to drill there in the first place? And Obama already said he wants more coastal drilling for oil.
Or is this just normal, I mean do Americans mostly hate the British because of history and since they see us as stuck-up 'colonial oppressors'?
May I make a correction. BP is not a British company. That ceased in 2000 shortly after BP merged with American company, Amoco, in 1998.
I don't think American's hate the British. They are annoyed at the oil spill. The use of Oil as a source of energy is coming to an end. Not due to a shortage of oil(this was always a myth), but because it's environmental use is no longer acceptable.
