Hong Kong: $6.8m set for flood victims

The Government today approved $6.827 million in grants for two relief agencies to help flood victims in Bangladesh.

The grants, $2.972 million for World Vision Hong Kong and $3.855 million for Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong, will be used to provide food and shelter.

The fund will also provide hygiene kits and household items for around 63,750 flood victims.

To ensure the money is used properly, the relief agencies must submit evaluation reports and audited accounts after the relief projects are completed.
