Appointment of a Circuit Judge - Philip Parker QC


HM The Queen has appointed Philip Laurence Parker QC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Jack Straw MP. The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, has assigned him to the Midland Circuit, based at Birmingham Crown Court with effect from Friday 23 May 2008.

NOTE TO EDITORS

Philip Laurence Parker QC is 54. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1976 and took Silk in 2000. He was appointed as an Assistant Recorder in 1994 and as a Recorder in 1999.
