TopXNotes 1.4.1 released - Award-winning personal information manager for Mac OS X

Tropical Software announced today its award-winning personal information manager TopXNotes has been fully tested and is compatible with Mac OS X version 10.6, "Snow Leopard." TopXNotes allows users to virtually any type of information relevant to their lives with full password security, the ability to organize notes by categories and groups, and export to Classic iPods.

"While there is a lot of software out there that needs to be upgraded before people can successfully use it with Snow Leopard, we are pleased to report we are not one of them," said Tropical Software president James Lee. "In fact, users who upgrade to Snow Leopard may experience faster launch times and a more responsive data-entry experience."

TopXNotes is currently at version 1.4.1. All users of previous versions are encouraged to upgrade for free from the company's web site. TopXNotes allows users to store everyday information such as recipes, text from emails or web sites, and bookmarks, as well as sensitive information such as banking, credit card numbers, and password or log-in information. TopXNotes offers two levels of security: all notes can be password protected individually, and the entire database can be encrypted with a unique password. URls for web sites can be clicked on to open their web page in the user's default browser.

Users of Snow Leopard will also benefit from a new feature in Preview, which makes it easy to copy text from multi-column documents for pasting into a TopXNotes note. Tropical Software is also working on a program for the iPhone and iPod Touch that will allow TopXNotes to be synchronized with those devices.

Sue Beal, president of the Upper Keys (Florida) Macintosh Users Group calls TopXNotes "Inexpensive, unobtrusive, and just plain handy."

Tropical Software's flagship product, TopXNotes is a personal note organizer and manager. Tropical Software is dedicated to providing insanely great productivity tools for Apple products. Tropical Software is focused on providing insanely great ways for people to create, store, categorize, and retrieve information they need every day. More information can be obtained from the Tropical Software web site.
