Special traffic arrangements for Oxfam Trailwalker


Hong Kong (HKSAR) - Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Kowloon and the New Territories to facilitate the holding of Oxfam Trailwalker 2009 from Friday (November 20) to Sunday (November 22). The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented: A. Road closure - Except for emergency vehicles, a section of Tai Mong Tsai Raod between Pak Tam Chung Country Park barrier and Pak Tam Road will be temporarily closed to all traffic from 8.50am to 9.10am, 10.50am to 11.10am, 12.20pm to 12.40pm, and 1.50pm to 2.10pm, on November 20 to facilitate the start of the race.

- A section of Chuk Yeung Road between Shan Liu and Wong Chuk Yeung will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 1pm on November 20 to 6am on November 21, except emergency vehicles, authorised vehicles and vehicles of local residents. - A section of Tai Mo Shan Road from its junction with Route Twisk to the radar station at Tai Mo Shan hilltop will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 9am on November 20 to 9am on November 22, except emergency vehicles and authorised vehicles. B.

Suspension of parking spaces - The public car park adjacent to Sai Sha Road near Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai will be temporarily closed from 12.01am to 1pm on November 20. - The car park of Rotary Club Park at Tai Mo Shan Road near Tai Mo Shan Visitors Centre will be temporarily closed from 9am on November 20 to 9am on November 22. - The Pak Tam Chung coach car park will be temporarily closed from 12.01am to 2.30pm on November 20 and the Pak Tam Chung public car park will be temporarily closed from 6pm on November 19 to 6am on November 20.

All vehicles found illegally parked will be towed away without prior warning. Police Report No. ¢±
