Bus-bus interchanges on Tuen Mun Road gazetted


Hong Kong (HKSAR) - The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (November 20) on the construction of bus-bus interchanges on Tuen Mun Road. The scheme has been authorised by the Chief Executive in Council. The works include construction of bus-bus interchanges on Kowloon bound and Tuen Mun bound lanes of Tuen Mun Road with associated road works; modification of the existing road junctions at Castle Peak Road - Tai Lam; construction of a footbridge and associated staircase and lifts, and widening of the vehicular bridge near Tai Lam Kok; modification of the seawall near Tai Lam Kok; permanent or temporarily closure of sections of the existing carriageways, footpaths and underpass; and ancillary works such asslope, drainage, landscaping and utility works.

The works will start in April 2010 for completion in about three years.
