CHATTANOOGA (Nov. 17, 2009) Olan Mills is offering a new alternative to the typical pictorial church directory. Think of it as church directory meets Facebook. In a convenient and functional format, the My Family Page Bio Directory gives families a chance to not only share their family photo(s), but also fun and interesting information about themselves. According to Vesper Henson, secretary and clerk of First Baptist Church of Yelm, Washington, who has completed the bio directory program, "You find out things about people in these bios that you may not have known before and it is helpful to new people when they join. Our members just love it."
This new directory can help personalize your church family to the community, connect church members to each other and encourage participation within the church.
"The My Family Page Bio Directory takes pictorial directories to a new, personalized level," says Richard Restiano, chief marketing officer for Olan Mills. "Not only is the information about each person more friendly and conversational, but the photo pose options are more relaxed and customized."
The My Family Bio Directory is a 6 by 7½ inch personalized binder with removable pages. The convenient size and the ability to easily update the directory are added benefits.
"A great feature about the bio directory is the size of it," adds Henson. "The fact that it comes in a three-ring binder makes it easier to add new members as we grow."
In addition to the numerous features of the directory, Olan Mills has developed a smooth and simple process for gathering information and developing the directories. Photos, contact information and family stories can be uploaded into an easy-to-use online format accessible by a username and password. An Olan Mills marketing representative is there to help the church and its members throughout the process.
