Courteous Immigration staff commended


Hong Kong (HKSAR) - Ms Yung Ching-yee has been elected Hong Kong's most courteous Immigration control officer. The Director of Immigration, Mr Simon Peh Yun-lu, and the General Manager of Corporate Affairs of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Ms Cynthia Leung, today (March 19) presented awards and souvenirs to Ms Yung at Immigration Headquarters. "The Most Courteous Immigration Control Officers Election in 2009 was the 14th such campaign and its objective was to promote a customer-focused service culture in the Government and help promote Hong Kong tourism," Mr Peh said.

He thanked all frontline Immigration control officers for their devotion to providing efficient and courteous service to travellers. He said, "The department is adopting a people-oriented manner to build a professional team with high morale and cohesiveness to serve the public." Mr Peh also thanked the Hong Kong Tourism Board for its support in making the Most Courteous Immigration Control Officers Election a success.The winner was named the Hong Kong Courtesy Ambassador by the board.
