Approved Central District Outline Zoning Plan amended


Hong Kong (HKSAR) - The Town Planning Board today (July 16) announced amendments to the approved Central District Outline Zoning Plan (OZP). The amendments mainly involve rezoning of the Murray Building site from "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") and "Road" to "Other Specified Uses" ("OU") annotated "Building with Architectural Merit Preserved for Hotel Use", and the Central Market site from "OU" annotated "Bus Terminus, Open Space and Commercial Development" to "OU" annotated "Building with Historical and Architectural Interest Preserved for Commercial, Cultural and/or Community Uses". Other amendments include rezoning of the sites of Pacific Place, Cheung Kong Centre and International Finance Centre to reflect their existing developments.

The Notes of the OZP are also amended in accordance with the revised Master Schedule of Notes to Statutory Plans. The draft Central District OZP No. S/H4/13, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Hong Kong District Planning Office, the Central and Western District Office and the Wan Chai District Office.

Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the secretary of the Board on or before September 16. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection. Copies of the draft Central District OZP No.

S/H4/13 are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
