Title: President arrives at Parliament

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has arrived at Parliament, where he will deliver his fourth State of the Nation Address and chart the year ahead for the country.

Looking dapper in a black, pinstriped suit and burgundy tie, the President was accompanied by his first wife Sizakele Khumalo.

The President arrived at Parliament in a special vehicle, led by a mounted police escort and a military ceremonial motor escort. The President's route was lined by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).

A national salute by the Ceremonial Guard of the SANDF, a fly-past by the South African Air Force and a 21-gun salute took place shortly after his arrival at the stairs of the National Assembly.

He then waved to the crowds and posed for photographs before entering the House.

Ministers, judiciary officials, diplomats, foreign guests and other dignitaries have already taken their seats in the National Assembly.
