FBI, NYPD Arrest White Glove Bandit in Connection with Four Armed Bank Robberies


At roughtly 12:30PM on April 18, 2012, while on surveillance near Tomkins Square Park in the East Village, NYPD detectives and FBI agents arrested Michael McManus, the man suspected of being the White Glove Bandit. He was arrested without incident.

The White Glove Bandit was wanted in connection with yesterday’s armed bank robbery at the HSBC Bank branch located 769 Broadway in Manhattan. He was also wanted in connection with three other armed bank robberies.

The Office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York is in charge of the prosecution. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
