CONCORD, NH—Raymond Rios, 25, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was sentenced in United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to 55 months in jail for a bank robbery he committed on December 17, 2012, announced United States Attorney John P Kacavas. On the day of the robbery, Rios entered a branch office of TD Bank on Bay Street in Manchester and handed a note to a bank teller that stated, 'Empty your cash register into the bag and you [won't] get shot. I have a gun. Cooperate and no one will get hurt.' As the teller read the note, Rios handed her a plastic bag.
The teller removed a sum of money from her teller drawer, put the money into the plastic bag, and handed the money to Rios. A surveillance tape identified Rios as the individual who entered the bank, and he later admitted to the crime. The case was investigated by the Manchester Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Bob Kinsella.
