Temporary suspension of Mobile Library 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8 services


Hong Kong (HKSAR) - The services provided by Mobile Libraries 1, 2, 6 and 8 will be suspended for designated periods in January and February for routine maintenance, a Leisure and Cultural Services Department spokesman announced today (January 4).

The service points of Mobile Library 1 to be affected from January 7 to 14 are Cho Yiu Chuen, Shek Lei (I) Estate, Lai Yiu Estate, Kwai Shing East Estate and Kwai Shing West Estate in Kwai Chung; Easeful Court in Tsing Yi and Riviera Gardens and Sham Tseng in Tsuen Wan. For enquiries about Mobile Library 1 services, please call 2414 3157.

The service points of Mobile Library 6 to be affected from January 9 to 15 are Shau Kei Wan Main Street East, Shek O Beach, Lei Tung Estate and Ap Lei Chau Estate in Ap Lei Chau, and Fung Tak Estate in Wong Tai Sin. To enquire about Mobile Library 6, please call 2505 4690.

The service points of Mobile Library 8 to be affected from January 18 to 31 are Laguna City in Lam Tin, Hiu Lai Court and Po Tat Estate in Sau Mau Ping, Tai Hang Tung Estate in Tai Hang Tung Road, Laguna Verde in Hung Hom and Fu Cheong Estate in Sham Shui Po.

The service points of Mobile Library 2 to be affected from January 21 to Feburary 2 are Hau Tak Estate, Po Lam Estate and Sheung Tak Estate in Tseung Kwan O; Ta Kwu Ling, Cheong Shing Court, Ka Fuk Estate and Ching Ho Estate in North District; Sun Chui Estate, Mei Lam Estate, Saddle Ridge Garden, Kwong Yuen Estate, Lee On Estate, Sui Wo Court and Yiu On Estate in Sha Tin; and Wan Tau Tong Estate and Tai Yuen Estate in Tai Po. To enquire about Mobile Library 2, please call 2605 1071.

In addition, due to the renovation of Sheung Tsuen Park in Yuen Long, services provided by Mobile Library 3 at the venue will be suspended on January 10 and 24. For enquiries about Mobile Library 3 services, please call 2450 1857.

People are welcome to use other public libraries during the service suspension periods.
