New District Officer for Yuen Long assumes office


Hong Kong (HKSAR) - Mr Edward Mak Chun-yu will assume the post of District Officer (Yuen Long) tomorrow (January 9), succeeding Mr Yeung Tak-keung.

Mr Mak joined the Administrative Service in 1995. He has served in various bureaux and departments, including the former Planning, Environment and Lands Branch, the former Home Affairs Branch, the Home Affairs Bureau, the former Financial Services Bureau, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, New York, and the Education Bureau.

He was the Principal Assistant Secretary for Labour and Welfare before taking up the new post.
