A New Development of High-Performance Custom Homes Slated to Debut in Bend, Oregon
Bend, Oregon – The Saginaw Sunset home community will be featured in this year’s COBA Tour of Homes, scheduled this July.
As a company focused on developing healthier and more comfortable homes, Jim Guild Construction has announced their inclusion in the 2015 COBA Tour of Homes, scheduled to take place on July 17th - 19th and the 24th - 26th.
Having created one of Oregon’s newest, custom home communities, the company’s development focuses both on the value of community and home design compatibility – placing priority on solar access, mountain views and a respect of neighbors.
The home to be featured on the 2015 COBA Tour of Homes is located at 1639 NW Scott Henry Place, Bend OR 97702, near where NW College Way and NW Saginaw Avenue meet. The home is complete with rooftop solar, battery backup, elevator, EV charger and panoramic views of both Tumalo Mountain and Mt. Bachelor.
“This home embodies what is possible with our highperformance philosophy where function meets beauty,” note development owners, Jim Guild and Nunzie Gould.
This follows Bend, Oregon’s recent ranking among the 50 finalists for the $5 million dollar Georgetown University Energy Prize (GUEP). The Environmental Center of Bend initiated entry of the competition and, upon becoming a finalist for the prize, launched The Bend Energy Challenge. Jim and Nunzie are members of the organization and Jim serves on the Board of Directors.
A 20-lot development, Saginaw Sunset is set at one of the last infill properties in Bend, Oregon, staying in the heart of Bend rather than expanding the City’s Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
The awardwinning developers at Jim Guild Construction hope this home will showcase their expertise. Each potential home will offer custom features including cabinetry, doors, and millwork; all of which will be handcrafted similar to what may be seen in the tour home this July – prices will start in the mid $700’s.
