Secretary for Home Affairs saddened by death of Chau How-chen


Hong Kong (HKSAR) -      The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, said today (August 7) that he was deeply saddened by the death of former Chairman of the Tsuen Wan District Council Mr Chau How-chen.

     "Mr Chau had a positive character and was widely respected for his valuable contributions to the former District Board, the District Council and society for decades. He showed great commitment to the development of district administration, sports and community building in his various capacities, including as the Chairman of the former Tsuen Wan District Board and the Tsuen Wan District Council for over 20 years. He was a role model for caring for and nurturing young generations.

I had known Mr Chau for years, and I express profound sadness at his death and convey my deepest condolences to his family," Mr Lau said.
