The review commenced in mid-2016. An AQO Review Working Group with dedicated sub-groups on four key aspects, namely air science and health, road transportation, marine transportation, and energy and power generation, has been formed to deliberate on the possible new air quality improvement measures and the assessments of the practicability of their implementation to identify possible scope to further tighten the AQOs.

The review will be completed in 2018.
