The scope of works of the project is mainly to retrofit the six-storey former Tai Po Government Secondary School as an arts centre to enhance the facilities and arts space for the community.

The new facilities will include multi-purpose rooms, music practice rooms and a dance room. Also, by attracting well-established performing arts groups to reside in the centre to offer high-standard arts training and performances for the community, the project will promote arts development in Tai Po District. The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter next year.

The college is one of the schools in the district joining the Opening up School Facilities for Promotion of Sports Development Scheme.
