"#You #Me #OurSELFIES" exhibition to open dialogues in new media art
Hong Kong (HKSAR) - The "#You #Me #OurSELFIES" exhibition was unveiled today (January 6) at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre. Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and Videotage, the exhibition explores how communication technologies and information systems take over the very ways we communicate with one another.
Ten artists of the millennial generation from the Mainland and Hong Kong, namely Carla Chan, Chen Tianzhuo, Chen Wei, Chris Cheung, Double Fly Art Center, Hu Weiyi, Lu Yang, Sun Xun, Tang Kwok-hin and Morgan Wong, demonstrate how new media art could shape art forms today and in the future through a series of exhibits, performances and screenings. The exhibition also reflects the uniqueness of media art development from Mainland cities and Hong Kong, and opens dialogues between the artists and visitors to explore possibilities in media art.
The exhibition will run until January 22.
