Electrical and Mechanical Trades Expo 2018 open to the public

Hong Kong (HKSAR) -      The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and the Hong Kong E&M Trade Promotion Working Group are today (February 2) holding a seminar series entitled "E&M Gear Up!" at the Education & Careers Expo. Representatives of the electrical and mechanical (E&M) industry were invited to introduce to young people the latest information on training, career prospects and promotion pathways of the E&M trade.
Addressing the opening ceremony, the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, Mr Alfred Sit, said that the rapid development of innovation and technology has diversified the scope and techniques of the work required in the E&M industry. Also, a number of major infrastructure projects will commence in the coming few years which will give rise to keen demand for E&M manpower.

In light of the huge career development potential, he said there is no better time to join the E&M industry.
The seminar series is part of the Electrical and Mechanical Trades Expo 2018, organised by the Hong Kong E&M Trade Promotion Working Group to provide practical information on joining the E&M industry.
