SEN to visit Beijing tomorrow


Hong Kong (HKSAR) -      The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, will depart for Beijing tomorrow afternoon (March 6), leading a delegation comprising representatives of the Environmental Protection Department and the Civil Engineering and Development Department to attend the annual joint liaison meeting with the State Oceanic Administration (SOA) on the morning of March 7 (Wednesday).

     The Environment Bureau and the SOA convene liaison meetings to discuss the operation and work plan relating to the reuse of Hong Kong's inert construction and demolition materials in Mainland waters.

     In the afternoon, Mr Wong will call on the Department of Climate Change of the National Development and Reform Commission.

     Mr Wong will return to Hong Kong on the same day after the meetings.
