SEN to visit Macao tomorrow


Hong Kong (HKSAR) -      The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, will depart for Macao tomorrow (April 12) to attend the 2018 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF) and visit the renewable energy facilities of a local university. He will also meet with relevant authorities responsible for environmental protection and energy policy of Macao to exchange views about the respective work.

     Mr Wong will jointly officiate at the MIECF opening ceremony with government officials of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) and other officiating guests in the morning. He will also tour the exhibition and meet with participating exhibitors from Hong Kong.

Afterwards, Mr Wong will attend a networking luncheon hosted by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute.

     In the afternoon, Mr Wong will meet with the Office for the Development of the Energy Sector of Macao SAR on energy-related issues and visit the solar photovoltaic system at the University of Macau. In the evening, he will attend a green dinner to be hosted by the Macao SAR Government.

     Mr Wong will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day.
