Sterkowski Unveils Handcrafted Peaky Blinders Caps Made of Harris Tweed
Sterkowski's online shop is proud to announce the availability of vintage style Peaky Blinders caps, made of high quality tweed (wool cloth). This cap design is inspired by the English gang called "Peaky Blinders", whose members wore very similar caps at the end of the 19th century in Birmingham.
The caps are available in a variety of colors, such as black, brown, checkered beige, and many others. Peaky Blinders caps are available in a wide range of sizes to accommodate all users, ranging all the way from small (S) to very large (XXXL).
The cap's visor is sewn down to the large 8 panels crown in its front center part. On the top of the crown, it features a small decorative button.
The cap is lined with breathable cotton, and also features a cotton sweatband on the inside, to ensure long-time wearing comfort even in warmer temperatures.
The company located in Poland offers worldwide shipping, and the online shop accepts various forms of payment, such as PayPal and credit cards.
The website also features a useful guide for correctly measuring the required hat size before placing an order. In case it should not prove to be a perfect fit, the company offers a 30-day return policy with no questions asked.
The Sterkowski family has been dealing with headgear since the year 1926. The founder of the company was Anna Sterkowska. After her husband's death, she turned to millinery to support her four children and her elderly mother. Gradually, she was accompanied by her son, Zygmunt, who became the actual architect of the company for a number of years to come.
The company has managed to survive the first years of the German occupation, and it was only the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising that resulted in stoppage of its activity. Zygmunt Sterkowski fought in the Uprising as a member of a sapper unit, and once it had ended, he was sent to Germany as a forced laborer.
