It revolves around John Baker whose wife Julia has gone missing and never came back after photographing on the bridge. Finished, they look up and both can see her now. The three finally share a tearful smile as Julia fades away.
The Ghost on the bridge is a paranormal horror story with a twist of psychological thriller.
The film is a shout out to all those who go through loneliness and grief. People are actually stronger than they think they are. The climax is left “subjective and open-ended”, letting the viewer form his or her own catharsis.
“I wanted to make a horror short film movie with a hidden moral message. Sometimes life can be horrifying but we get through all these troubles and problems any way. The only thing that keeps us hopeful is love. We all search for love and find it in different things in life.”
The 20 minutes long short was shot in three days on the Richmond Bridge in London, UK. Camera operator and cinematographer is Pascale Neuschäfer and directed by Alex Pink. Editor of this short film is Daniel Haywood. Screenplay is written by Maria Johnsen.
The ghost on the bridge will be screened at Nordic film festivals, Germany, France, Japan, UK, Italy, Spain and Argentina.
