Job Description:
The Senior QA Engineer for Automation will be part of a dynamic and growing QA organization responsible for assessing the quality of a list of Entertainment web properties in CNET Networks.

The QA Automation Engineer will collaborate with QA, Development Engineers, Product Managers, and Project Managers throughout the software development lifecycle in a fast-paced web development environment. He/She will lead the test automation initiative on designing and implementing automation frameworks. In addition to satisfying all technical and functional requirements, the test framework should be highly scalable, robust, and user-friendly, allowing the rest of the team to work on it productively. The primary objective of this position is to enable the QA team to release high quality software in a timely manner.

The successful candidate is also expected to take an active role in defining new processes and/or refining existing ones, identifying opportunities for automation and managing test execution at release boundaries.

Major Duties:
Architect and implement test automation framework for PHP based web application.
Integrate test framework with Test management system.
Work on integrating Test Execution with Build system.
Guide other QA Engineers on how to develop, execute and maintain test scripts.
Help build and maintain a culture of quality within the Development and QA organizations.

Required Experiences/Skill Sets:
5 years of Software QA ; specifically developing Test Automation frameworks - both GUI and server-side
3 years with QTP/WinRunner/Segue Silk test tools
3 years with PHP, Java, JavaScript, Shell/other scripting languages
2 years with XML, Adobe Flash/Air technologies
Strong Database knowledge, especially in MySQL
Proficiency with both Windows and Linux
Familiarity with Source Control systems e.g. Subversion
Experience mentoring associate level Engineers
Experience with Agile development processes
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly motivated and passionate about Quality
