Daylife is a tight and talented team, building a news service for the 21st century. Our product lets readers, publishers, reporters, and developers create and engage with news in new ways, taking advantage of the variety, community, and transparency enabled by the internet. Daylife is looking to expand our Web Development team with proactive, self-starting, collaborative, world-class professionals who will thrive in the demanding, fluid atmosphere of a start up focused on shipping the next great thing.

As a Web Applications Developer based out of our downtown Manhattan office, you will be responsible for Daylife's appearance and usability.

Responsibilities will include:
 * Applying your expertise in both HTML and CSS to implement new features and enhancements in our dynamic web application
 * Utilizing your previous experience developing UI interfaces or presentation layer web applications to contribute to ongoing development
 * Implementing your proactive approach to problem solving while collaborating with our on-staff UI designers and usability experts
 * Learning about, or building your knowledge base of, PHP, JavaScript/Ajax, and/or Flash/ActionScript to grow into a role of prototyping and captaining larger features from design through implementation

Requirements
*4+ years experience in web application development
*Expert-level proficiency in producing lean HTML and CSS – required
*Flash experience extremely helpful
*Very strong attention to detail
*Expertise in PHP is helpful, but not required, but some other dynamic programming language is needed to be successful
*Familiarity with Web 2.0 concepts is a big plus
