Growing Fantasy Sports Media company seeks Senior Java-J2EE Developers to help build the next generation of its online Fantasy Sports games.

Based in the Inglewood, CA area (near LAX), we are a small, but fast growing and well funded internet start up company that specializes in delivering the latest in Sports Media and revolutionary Sports Entertainment services. Our founders are well educated (IVY League graduates) and top leaders within the Internet and Sports industry. In addition, we have just secured Series A funding from high profile investors and this financing will be used for massive growth and new development.

The ideal candidate has extensive J2EE experience with a strong background in large scale web application development. 
The ability to work independently or as part of a team in a technically challenging environment is a must. 
Coming up with your own ideas and designs is highly encouraged.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop large scale web applications that are robust and scalable
• Work with Business to translate requirements to a working application
• Apply proven methodologies and best practices

Qualifications:

• Strong problem solving skills
• 5+ years of Java development experience
• Strong J2EE knowledge (JSP, Servlet, EJB, JDBC)
• Strong Software Design skills including Object Oriented Progrmming
• Experience with building large scale N-tier web applications
• Experience with Struts, JSTL Hibernate, Spring, MVC Architectures
• Experience with Database development (especially Oracle), SQL
• Experience with HTML Javascript, CSS, and AJAX a plus
• Knowledge of Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere)
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lead/mentor junior developers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Liferay Portal a plus
