This position serves to assist the Education Manager in the Outreach Technology Division of the Museum with application and development of various internet-based outreach programs and services.  The incumbent will work on projects to help extend the Museum\'s content and programmatic outreach beyond the Museum\'s website using Web 2.0 technologies such as podcasts, social networking sites, media and file sharing sites, wikis, virtual worlds and other online communication tools.  The incumbent will author hyperlinks, select appropriate media and fact-check content as well as upload content
and update information in sites like YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, Wikipedia, iTunes U and Public Radio Exchange.  The incumbent will research appropriate Web 2.0 technologies to meet the Museum\'s outreach needs and explore ways to make USHMM podcasts, blogs, and other multimedia offerings visible outside of the Museum\'s website.  In addition, the incumbent will assist the USHMM translation team to assess and implement similar projects in multilingual formats.  The incumbent will compile information from a variety of sources to inform the Museum\'s use of Web technology.
