Loomia , a leader in the recommendations and personalization space, is looking for a QA Lead/Sr. QA Engineer. You will be part of a small group of talented engineers building the features and infrastructure components used by high volume sites to deliver personalized content from multiple sources to hundreds of millions of people on multiple delivery platforms (web, phone, iptv and more). We have an established product with a lot of demand and you should want to solve interesting problems that directly impact the company’s success. Essential Responsibilities You will drive overall quality of software deliverables from planning, execution, tracking, and delivery ofproject. As the first full-time QA employee, you should have a strong background in software engineering, test frameworks, and automation. You will also define and build a comprehensive testing methodology for the product. We have a small development group using an agile process with short, iterative releases. Our goal is to create an environment with robust test automation, nightly builds, and close collaboration with product managment. You should be just as excited about doing hands-on technical work and and managing the bug database as your are about being the evangelist for QA best practices within the company. We are an Open Source, LAMP, Mantis, Subversion shop so you should be confident you can excel in that type of environment. You will have the ability to use our current QA infrastructure and propose better solutions so that we end up with a flexible, robust QA process and infrastructure. Here are some of the things you'll be doing. * Develop & design test strategies, test cases, test plans, & other test specification documents * Contribute in test planning & test execution for multiple short-cycle releases * Grow the QA team as our company and developement team grows. * Work with development & product management to determine resource needs, test requirements/strategy, & to report defects & ongoing testing status* Review requirements, code, design, & other documentation, & plan testing activities * Identify areas that are good candidates for automation; build & design automated tests * Manage bug fixes, product releases, & build activities * Streamline QA activities to adhere to standards & to ensure the completeness, efficiency, & effectiveness of testing activities
