Since starting up last year, our network of sites has quickly grown to over 600,000 registered users creating 100,000 items a week - all of this created by an elite team of 5 engineers. Responsibilities:
Lead discussions around visual and interactive design and champion high-quality product experiences
Design and prototype customer-facing products using OmniGraffle, Photoshop, Balsamiq, and other tools
Handcode clean, beautiful and maintainable JS, XHTML, CSS
Assist on qualitative and quantitative user research, ethnographic studies, and usability testing
Reports directly to CTO/co-founder

Canvas, Flash/Flex, Actionscript 3 for RIA
Compass, Blueprint, Rails, jQuery, Haml, and Sass for frontend
Cucumber, Bacon, Watir, and Git for testing and source control

Qualifications
Strong experience in visual design, user experience, and interaction design
An eye for color, typography, graphic design, illustration
Experience working with user generated content, online social interactions, or e-commerce products
