(Washington, DC) Repower@Home is a new project of the Alliance for Climate Protection that aims to trigger a massive change in the energy efficiency of homes across the country by leveraging peer-relationships and viral techniques.

You?ll be part of an agile, two-person development team. You will take initiative, work independently and collaboratively, and wear many hats.

Required experience:
*Experience building standards-based web applications
*Database design and optimization with MySQL or PostgreSQL
*Experience with frameworks like Django, Zend, or Rails.
*JavaScript libraries like jQuery or Prototype
*Familiarity with source control (Subversion or Git) and deployment tools like Capistrano
*Understanding of key issues in scaling web applications
*A passion for elegant software and the environment
