The Development Project leader is responsible for managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to executing, developing, implementing and maintaining innovative new projects in the social media space.

Projects include custom WordPress development and complete web apps, devised and built by the Project Leader.

TASKS

The Development Project Leader is expected to:

*Define the product strategy and roadmap
*Define and segment the target market
*Create product milestones and measure weekly progress to goals
*Articulate the key user benefits of product features
*Own product launch details, and support the Marketing and Editorial team in launching product

REQUIREMENTS

*Developing advanced web applications
*Writing low maintenance, high reliability code to be used in a 24/7 environment
*Working with peers in other groups to define software standards and explore new technologies.

SKILLS

*3+ years hands-on programming experience
*3+ years hands-on WordPress experience
*Strong PHP, HTTP, CSS, XML, MYSQL experience
*Strong understanding of hosting/server maintenance
*Experience working with JavaScript, AJAX and APIs.
