(London, England) Multimedia Designer
Department: Digital We are looking for a highly experienced and creative multimedia designer to join a digital Commercial Solutions team. You will have development skills and have a track record of producing innovative cutting-edge digital solutions. Highly creative, you will be motivated by producing sleek, stylish and market-leading interactive designs. You will drive forward the use of multimedia technologies and raise the standard of rich media design for the business. Key Accountabilities - Conceptualise new creative commercial solutions, contribute design work to pitches and design multimedia elements for campaigns
- Build of multimedia designs in Flash or other rich-media formats
- Review all code produced ensuring that the solutions meet basic quality standards.
Experience & Skills
Essential Requirements:
- Strong skills in Flash, custom Flash component creation and XML handling within Flash
- Extensive knowledge of ActionScript (2.0 and 3.0)
- Hands on experience building in Flex
- Exceptional rich media design skills (portfolio examples required)
- Experience of Flash Lite
- Adept at Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
- Experience producing multimedia code and delivering digital projects, including fast-paced software releases
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of digital design, information analysis, business analysis, development and quality assurance processes
Desirable:
- JavaScript skills and experience with JavaScript libraries
- Understanding of other web development technologies, including HTML, CSS and PHP
- Experience of working with a dedicated QA team and adhering to a formalised QA and release process
- Experience of creating and developing commercial and rich media advertising solutions
- Understanding of online commercial models
- Experience of working using Agile methods (ideally Lean and/or Scrum)
Person Specification:
- Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across multiple brands and projects
- Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus with stakeholders and fellow team members
- Ability to manage own time and manage autonomously where appropriate
- Broad technical understanding, including an understanding of web technology, platforms and current trends
- Ability to understand and clarify design briefs
- Flexibility and ability to adapt designs from brand to brand
