Seattle Children's: Distributed Authorship Project Manager

We recently launched a new, redesigned Web site, www.seattlechildrens.org utilizing Ektron as our CMS and are seeking a seasoned, enthusiastic Project Manager to drive the rollout of CMS training and distributed authorship set-up. This position will work onsite in a freelance/independent contract basis and will be 9 to 12 months in duration.

Schedules and deliverables are for both rollout and for ongoing maintenance of distributed authorship.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Self starter and independent worker
  • Able to collaborate with many stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented
  • Previous experience with content management systems, CMS workflow, CMS training
  • Ektron CMS experience preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with HTML, Javascript
  • Ability to communicate with developers about technical issues
  • Ability to translate diverse business requirements/requests into specific implementable features
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to both plan and execute (project will be require strategic planning, but also hands-on work)
  • Work on-site
  • Experience with large companies (3k to 10k employees)
  • Ability to write documentation
  • Experience with web based training material development

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leading discovery process for rollout of distributed authorship. This includes gathering from stakeholder input, etc and doing final recommendations based on that input.
  • Building and communicating project schedule for rollout of distributed authorship
  • Establishing workflow for content publication processes
  • Establishing roles and permissions for CMS authors and administrators
  • Developing materials for CMS training
  • Developing processes and workflows for user support
  • Developing processes to collect and manage feedback for CMS
