We are looking for a freelance PHP developer with experience of legacy systems for our client, a tiny software house based in the South East. The initial role will involve porting a set of reports from one database structure to another. (Please note, you will not be working directly for Together London.) 

You'll be based in the UK, set up to work remotely, and available for occasional meetings in London or the South East. You'll be comfortable working independently, communicating over email, skype, and IM, and managing your own time. You'll also be comfortable with "gig" style work — this is not a full-time position.

Skills

Required experience: 

* PHP 
* Object Oriented Programming 
* SQL (please specify databases) 
* Experience of Management Information Systems (writing reports) 
* Linux / Unix — confident on the command line 
* Revision control systems (please specify) 
* Experience working with legacy systems 

Desirable experience: 

* Apache 
* Basic sysadmin experience 
* Experience working in distributed teams 
* HTML 

Rate & terms 

Day rate is negotiable. Ideally you'll have your own Limited Company.
