We're looking for a full-time interface designer to join our team at MetaLab. We're a relatively small group - there are seven of us right now, and we're looking to add another member in the near future. We've worked with clients ranging from bootstrapped startups to giants such as MTV and Harvard University. Recently, we've been hard at work on Ballpark, our very own web app.

We're based out of Victoria, Canada, but it doesn't really matter where you live. We've all worked remotely at one point or another, and if you're right for us, we'll make it work again. What does matter to us is that you have a superior eye for detail, and the ability to design interfaces from a user's perspective. We'd love to hear from appreciators of typography, simple design, and clean, coherent interfaces. We strive for pixel-perfect design, so perfectionists are more than welcome - in fact, they're our invited guests.

We want someone who is receptive to feedback, but also willing to defend their choices to both the MetaLab team and our clients. As a supplement to this, you should be a clear, thoughtful communicator, who is comfortable being honest and logical with our clients while dealing with them independently - preferably using complete sentences and proper capitalization. If you regularly update a blog, show us.

While not a prerequisite, being fluent in XHTML/CSS and the jQuery library would be fantastic. Additionally, any experience designing logos and icons would be a huge asset.
