The Senior Interface Developer works closely with designers and engineers to implement cross-browser compatible code. A thorough understanding of Web layout techniques and drawbacks is necessary in order to provide advice on alternative coding methods. The Interface Developer will be proficient in XHTML, JavaScript, DHTML/DOM and CSS and will be able to accurately translate a design into a finished Web page. Strong knowledge in AJAX, Photoshop/ImageReady, Flash ActionScript, Object Oriented concepts or server-side programming is a plus (preferably JSP/Java).

Position Responsibilities
• Contribute to the standardization of coding standards and processes.
• Produce web sites that adhere to web standards and best practice guidelines including organic search engine optimization and accessibility development techniques.
• Work very closely with Software Engineers, Creative Designers, and Information Architects to ensure successful implementation of new interface design and functionality.
• Transform design comps, wireframes, and prototypes into functional web interfaces.
• Awareness and understanding of latest user interface and interaction design trends.
• Image/multimedia asset preparation.
• Cross-browser/cross-platform knowledge and coding compliance. Codes clear, concise XHTML and CSS according to W3C standards.
• Codes/modifies/implements intermediate to complex JavaScript.
• Finds acceptable solutions and/or compromises for cross-browser and cross-platform code interpretation inconsistencies.
• Responds to questions regarding download time, code efficiencies, integration of client-side technologies, etc.
• The Senior Interface Developer can also expect to be involved in client meetings throughout the duration of a project -- either in person or via conference calls.
• Strong communication skills are a must.
• Strong organizational skills.
• The Senior Interface Developer must be able to work well in teams, as well as be able to lead project teams, identify tasks and deliverables, and be able to keep teams informed of their tasks and keep them on track.
• May host project status meetings to ensure project teams informed, tasks are on track, and delivered on time.

Job Specifications
• A college degree in a related field and at least 4+ years experience in the industry is preferred.
• 2+ years experience being a project lead.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, issues, and priorities effectively and simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Able to act independently, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with information architecture and interaction design principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Working URLs or an online portfolio demonstrating previous accomplishments is required.

Technical Requirements
• Expertise in JavaScript, AJAX, or JQuery, Flash ActionScript, DTHML,
• Experience coding with JSP or ASP
• Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA, Ecllipse, or similar IDE.
• Experience with jQuery or a similar library
• Experience with debugging tools such as Firebug, IE Developer Toolbar or similar
• Experience with Flash/Actionscript
• Experience with version control systems
• Familiarity with the MVC framework and Object Oriented Programming
