Silverlign Group/GSI - a premier ecommerce, strategy, design, and development agency - is looking for an experienced Senior Art Director to join our creative team in the pursuit of world-class online designs focused on e-commerce. Your ability to establish creative vision, build consensus and guide design team will ensure your success. As a partner-facing representative from the creative team, you will use strong problem solving and outstanding communication skills to ensure partner expectations are met. We are looking for someone who has a passion for the web and retail, and a strong sense of e-commerce and interactive environments. Design Agency experience is also a plus. A propensity for working in a technology-driven environment focused on excellent customer satisfaction will serve you well. Knowledge of user interface design principles, brand marketing and online best-practices are critical factors required to be successful.

• Excellent understanding of Type
• Ability to manage and Art Direct a photo shoot
• Ability to manage/lead creative projects
• Ability to create/design interactive Flash environments (the ability to code Flash is not necessary, but a plus)
• Ability to concept Big Ideas and programs
• Direct responsibility for Design staff and team deliverables
• Lead new partners through Brand Audit discussions and establish design success metrics
• Gather partner requirements
• Communicating partner brand objectives to internal constituents
• Utilize various software tools and technologies to create conceptual web-store designs
• Mentor design team
• Design presentation with the goal of building consensus with internal and external stake-holders

Experience:

• Minimum seven years experience in providing visual design solutions in one of the following areas; Multimedia, Creative Agency, Graphic Design, E-commerce/Web Design
• Minimum three years experience in web design preferably focused on e-commerce execution
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent time manager and team player, who can delegate responsibility, estimate work schedules, ensure that deadlines are met, oversee progress, critique effectively, and serve as a mentor to design team
• Platform independent skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, HomeSite, DreamWeaver, Director, Javascript, Flash are essential
• Strong knowledge of information design, usability and the use of navigational paradigms
• Ability to comp HTML designs, understanding of browsers and design constraints on the Web
• Understanding of typography, graphic elements and navigational tools to support user task sequences and functional methodologies
• Degree in Graphic Design or Advertising
