In this strategic leadership role for Fluid, Inc., your expertise with ActionScript and object oriented software development will give you the tools to provide the ultimate online shopping experience. We are open to hiring a full-time employee in this position, or working with a contractor. As a full-time employee you would enjoy an excellent base salary, benefits and a flexible work schedule. We would prefer someone who will work in our San Francisco office, but would consider remote candidates.

The work you do at Fluid will leverage your experience with client technology as you embed Flash and Flex user interface controls into sophisticated HTML pages in concert with content management and ecommerce systems. Keys to your success at Fluid include:
 * ActionScript. You can write superb ActionScript and MXML code.
 * Coding Fundamentals. We'll look to you for code that's well documented, clearly formatted, efficient, runs quickly, and is easy to understand and maintain. You're grounded in UML and design patterns.
 * Collaboration. You enjoy collaborating with interaction designers, visual designers, and business users to dream up creative technical solutions to challenging problems.
 * Server Development. You are familiar with server applications and programming languages like Apache, Tomcat, php, or Java. You know how to use version control systems, and can connect to a remote Linux server using ssh.
 * Leadership. We're open both to current team leads and to those who want to advance their career by taking on a leadership role.
 * Learning. You thrive on learning new technologies, independently and at a fast pace. Likely learning opportunities include AJAX, jQuery, php, UML, ecommerce platforms, and content management systems.
