ADBASE is a web-based company located in Downtown Toronto. We maintain an industry leading marketing database and a suite of online tools used by the creative industry. Our clients include high-end photographers, illustrators and artist representatives.

As a Web/UI Designer, you will work as part of of our development team to design and build a variety of projects including large scale web applications, informational websites, HTML email marketing campaigns and general promotional collateral.

The successful candidate will be passionate about the web, have an online portfolio of work demonstrating solid design fundamentals and will be able to produce hand-coded, standards compliant HTML/CSS in their sleep.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years experience in web design and development
• Demonstration of a clean and flexible design style
• Strong typographic and layout skills
• Knowledge of UI/UX design best practices
• Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks
• Capable of producing clean, standards-compliant XHTML/CSS by hand
• Experience with producing table-based HTML email designs
• JavaScript competency and familiarity with cross-browser JS frameworks (jQuery, Prototype)
• Familiar with revision management systems (SVN, Mercurial, Git, etc)
• Open to feedback and criticism and the ability to defend your position to the team
• Positive attitude, dependability and solid work ethic
• Strong English communication skills
• Must present an updated portfolio
