Job summary

Skidmore Studio is a full-service creative studio with an expanding interactive department. We are seeking a development-focused team member to work closely with our designers and strategists to complete web and other digital projects for our direct and agency clients. Contract, part or full time workers considered. Skidmore Studio is an equal opportunity employer.

Summary of job functions

* Program websites and applications while maintaining cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility.

* Maintain existing websites and applications and update and revise as required.

* Have and maintain a thorough understanding of the most current web technology and tools.

* Work efficiently on multiple projects with tight deadlines.

* Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience required

Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of programming and scripting.

Skills required

* In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX and JavaScript APIs

* Knowledge of the PHP language

* Knowledge of object oriented programming practices

* Experience with and knowledge of open source systems such as Drupal, Joomla

* Ability to create and style standards-compliant XHTML and CSS

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines

* Good communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse personality types

* Solid organization, prioritization and self-motivation skills

Skills Desired

* Ability to develop mobile sites, be familiar with WebKit

* Knowledge of Flash and ActionScript

* Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3

* Knowledge of ASP

* Basic sense of design

Pay is commensurate with experience.
