Position Summary:

As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for the development of scalable, secure, and functional front end components in HTML/CSS/JavaScript for an array of interactive projects in this fast paced environment. This role requires excellent communication skills; you will be collaborating with interactive designers, back end programmers, interactive producers and account managers. 

Responsibilities:

Hands-on role in developing interactive experiences
Develop optimized/cross-platform front end code in CSS/HTML/JavaScript
Develop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts and to enable rapid iterative development
Collaborate with designers and backend developers to refine the user experience
Work with team to ensure that interactive techniques and technologies are innovative and supportable
Stay current the latest user experience trends and emerging technologies
Utilize performance optimization practices and guide team towards sound development solutions
Present and explain technical concepts to clients
Assist Account Managers and Producers in determining the scope of work for projects
Write scalable, reusable, clean code and document it
Plan and architect interactive elements ahead of time along with the Art Directors
Research and learn new technologies during down time

Requirements:

Interactive programming experience, preferably in an agency environment
Degree in Computer Science is a plus
Intermediate to expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
Functional understanding of Flash and ActionScript
Knowledge of the Semantic Web
Social Media Integration Experience (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr)
Experience working with jQuery
Great communication skills
Expert understanding of usability, best practices, optimization techniques
Solid understanding of user centered thinking
Interest in experimenting with new technologies; eager to learn
Client facing experience is a plus
