Position Summary:

Promptu Systems Corporation, a leading developer of speech-enabled applications for mobile phones, is seeking a Senior Mobile User Experience Designer to create next-generation user interfaces for the company’s products. The Senior Mobile UX Designer will be responsible for all aspects of the user interface, comprising conception, design and detailed specification.  The position requires strong visual and graphic design skills, creative and analytical thinking, a user-centered design perspective and a deep understanding of mobile application UX design.   While this role is creative, it also requires attention to detail and process. Wireframing, prototyping and production skills are necessary, as well as excellent oral and written communication abilities.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Anchor and drive user experience and design activities
• Lead participatory design sessions
• Design, moderate and analyze usability testing
• Contribute to product definition and documentation process
• Develop complete product specifications, detailing user interaction, navigation, and application flow
• Present design concepts to key customers, partners and internal stakeholders
• Generate design prototypes
• Manage external creative partnerships
• Collaborate with engineers and visual designers in executing solutions

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience specializing in mobile application design, with 5+ years of overall UX design
• Expert in a variety of user research and usability approaches
• Expert in OmniGraffle (or Visio), Illustrator and Photoshop
• Extensive portfolio of user interface designs
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with speech recognition technology a plus
