Portfolio Media, publisher of Law360, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to be a core member of our growing technology team. If you are well versed with cloud computing, open source and large scale data projects, we’d like to hear from you. Working withcutting edge technology, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing applications that will change the way our news is delivered. This is a highly visible role. 

What You Need For Consideration

·         BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

·         Experience developing public facing web applications and mission critical systems

·         Strong Ruby and Java experience (We'd also be interested if you have experience with C, Scala, Groovy, Python)

·         Experience with a variety of databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Tokyo Cabinet

·         Knowledge of Hadoop or other distributed computing models

·         Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud computing environments

·         5+ years of related experience

Pluses (get you ahead in the talent line)

·         iPhone and other mobile application development experience
