Responsibilities:

• Create compelling interface designs from concept to completion
• Interface directly with clients
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Perform well under tight deadlines with multiple projects
• Design Interface Comps
• Build standards compliant (X)HTML/CSS-based templates
• Troubleshoot CSS-based templates for live sites
• Create internal marketing materials for print and web

Core requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of design-build firm, agency or freelance experience
• In-depth knowledge of design for the web
• Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign and other appropriate software tools
• Coding expertise in standards compliant HTML/CSS/JavaScript and tables-less markup
• Understanding of cross-browser issues
• Good understanding of UI and workflow design
• Basic programming in PHP, Perl or another web oriented language
• Possess intelligence, intellectual curiosity, problem solving-abilities, and ability to keep up with emerging web technologies
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Possess an ability to work within client constraints and compromise when needed
• Understands typography, color theory and user centered design concepts

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
• Mobile application design and development skills
• Experience working in active PHP or Perl code bases
