E.W. Scripps: UX Designer - Fellowship
(Knoxville, TN) The E. W. Scripps Company’s Newspaper Division is pleased to introduce a fellowship program with an opportunity in the Scripps Interactive Newspapers Group (SING) in Knoxville, TN.
This is a twenty-four week paid program. Assistance with relocation expenses of up to $500 will be provided.
Eligibility requirements include:
- An undergraduate degree in journalism, computer science or a related field
- Proficiency in HTML/XHTML and CSS and a keen interest in learning and understanding user-centric design; strong eye for design and detail
- Detail oriented
- Successful contributor to the workplace and/or the academic environment with ability to effectively collaborate with team members
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include travel, overtime, weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to learn
Through guidance from management, fellows will develop a broad understanding of newspaper and online operations. Upon successful conclusion of the fellowship, participants will be eligible to apply for available full-time positions within the Newspaper Division of The E.W. Scripps Company.
