Companies are involved in a wide array of projects for their internal and external websites, print material and web products involving web development, web and graphic design and web products for their internal needs and their members.

Experienced hands-on manager needed with web designer and development skills to manage web group that includes web developer, web and graphic designers and web products coordinator. Person will lead the day-to-day operations of web group and provide project management of web related projects working across multiple concurrent projects.

Anticipate time will be split between management and development as follows:

• 40% manage web development and web/graphic design projects
• 20% leading day to day operations of Web Group
• 40% web application development/design, test, optimize and maintain 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work with manager and web group team to define scope, timeline and deliverables for projects
• Oversee web group
• Resolve technical issues in collaboration with designers/developers for projects
• Web application development and design
• Maintain company web sites
• Contribute to, communicate and enforce coding standards and policies for web team.  Performs code reviews.
• Hold regular status meetings with development team.
• Meet regularly with manager to review projects, set priorities and discuss web group issues.
• Quality assurance of company web sites and web products.
• With multiple projects in different stages of their development lifecycle at any one time, manager must be highly organized, able to communicate and manage client expectations, and troubleshoot issues as they arise in order to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines working with his/her manager.

• Strong project management skills with prior team management experience
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills 
• Ability to work both independently and with a team with an excellent work ethic and can-do attitude.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in different stages of the development lifecycle at any one time. 
• Ability to communicate and manage expectations, and troubleshoot issues as they arise in order to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and more junior team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical internal staff

Minimum expected technical qualifications:

• Knowledge of .net objects/framework, primary language C#, AJAX.  VB a plus.
• Extensive web design/development experience / understanding in web development technologies – UI, (X)HTML, CSS and Javascript.  Asp.net.  JQuery a plus.
• SQL Server, MySQL, web services
• Strong support in the above areas.
• Experience with running web applications on both IIS and Apache, Tomcat. 
• Knowledge of Web 2.0 and web related tools, e.g. Search Engine Optimization, Google Analytics
• Mobile applications experience a plus
• Freemarker Templates a plus

Education
A degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
