Ecommerce’s small but growing team is seeking a talented and insatiable online marketer to help build a service that allows people and businesses to build better websites and be successful online.

Do your designs have the power to bring boring things to life?  Did you stop believing in the concept of “boring things” when you started designing?  We’re looking for a talented creative mastermind, overlord of creativity and awesome designs.

If your soul cannot rest until your creative designs leave a room speechless, until each pixel sings out of the screen like a choir solo and you’ve imagined how exactly each interaction with your creation will put a smile on your customers’ faces, you may have what it takes!

This is an interesting mash-up opportunity combining liberty in creative design needed for creating powerful site graphics with the elegance and intelligent interaction design needed for interface development.  Would you love to put your mark on the world with your own unique approach to shaping the customer experience?  We prize those who get the big picture but are willing to roll up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to get a job done.  This role requires strong business acumen, 20/20+ creative vision plus credible technology aptitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and Create Beautiful Websites

• Orchestrate Amazing User Interfaces and Customer Experiences (Interaction Design)

• Create Custom Artwork (for times when stock art just won’t do it)

• Be Creative and Opinionated

• Own and manage the Ecommerce identity and brand

• Improve online presences (www.ixwebhosting.com (primary brand), www.hostexcellence.com, www.ecommerce.com) to properly reflect our culture, improve their user friendliness and optimize conversion

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in designing for the web, preferably web applications
• Mastery of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator from the current Adobe Creative Suite
• Mac Fanatic (if you’re not, we will still talk to you, but you’re not forgiven!)
• Strong experience with usability design, wire-framing, site navigation, and interaction flows/maps.
• Strong skills with layout principles, typography, and aesthetic design concepts, practices, and procedure
• 1-3 years of experience with CSS, HTML and Javascript
• Experience conducting usability sessions is a major bonus

Education:

A degree in “Awesome Looking Sites” is required, but we happen to be an accredited giver of “ALS” diplomas worldwide.  Application information below.
